VERIFAVIA EXPLORES EU MRV IMPACTS

Emissions verification company Verifavia Shipping is to host an industry seminar outlining impacts of the EU’s recent Monitoring, Reporting and Verification, or MRV, regulation for the breakbulk sector.

The draft legislation, Delegated and Implementing Acts pursuant to the EU MRV Regulation 757/2015, was closed to public consultation on Aug. 26 and is expected to become law by the end of this year.

“With the Delegated and Implementing Acts almost finalized, requirements are now very clear. However, as with most new legislation, the challenge lies in effectively navigating its complexity and interpreting it to ensure compliance,” said Julien Dufour, CEO of Verifavia Shipping.

Verifavia will bring together industry experts including Zephyr Trading, CarbonSink, DFDS, NEDA Maritime Agency and ME Production to give an overview of the challenges and opportunities for shipowners and operators. [...]
