VERIFAVIA and Intermaritime / ICS Class of Panama announced that the two companies signed an IMO DCS cooperation agreement at SMM in Hamburg on 4 September 2018. Under this new strategic agreement, VERIFAVIA will review the SEEMP Part II and verify the fuel oil data consumption of all ships classed by ICS Class.

This strategic cooperation agreement will allow Intermaritime / ICS Class to delegate the IMO DCS verification activities to the world's leading independent verifier, ensuring a top-class expert verification service to their classed ships worldwide.

For VERIFAVIA, it is a major break-through into the Panamean shipping sector, just a couple of months after becoming the first independent verifier to be a fully authorized IMO DCS verification body by the Panama Maritime Authority.
