Verifavia Shipping Launched Inventory of Hazardous Materials Preparation Services in April 2019


Verifavia, the world's leading emissions verification company for the transport sector (aviation and shipping), announced that it has launched and conducted its first survey for Inventory of Hazardous Material (IHM) preparation services, for ships subject to the EU Ship Recycling Regulation (EU SRR) and the Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships., And has already conducted its first survey. Concurrently, the company also announced that it has expanded its global network with the opening of a new office in Chandigarh, India.

Zeaborn places 100 Ships with Verifavia Shipping & Korean Register for Inventory of Hazardous Material Services


Verifavia Shipping and the Korean Register (KR) have been contracted by Zeaborn Ship Management - a consolidation of ER Schiffahrt and Rickmers Shipmanagement - to perform Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) preparation and certification for more than 100 vessels.

Press Release - FA Vinnen & Co. places Entire Fleet with Verifavia Shipping & RINA for Inventory of Hazardous Material Services


On 19 September 2019, German shipowner-manager, FA Vinnen & Co. placed its entire fleet of nine vessels for Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) services with Verifavia. Verifavia's surveys, following the EU Ship Recycling Regulation (EU SRR) and the Hong Kong (HK) International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships guidelines, would then be certified by the leading class society RINA.

Press Release - Verifavia Shipping Undertakes Inventory of Hazardous Material Services for 29 Attica Group Vessels


Greece-based ferry company, Attica Group appoints Verifavia Shipping to provide Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) services for 29 of its vessels. The addition of which takes the total number of vessels under Inventory of Hazardous Material (IHM) contract with Verifavia to more than 400.

Verifavia is an Approved Inventory of Hazardous Material Supplier by 7 Classification Societies 


Verifavia commenced its accreditations as an IHM Supplier with Korean Register (KR) in April 2019, which was followed by RINA, Lloyd ”s Register (LR), Indian Register of Shipping (IRS), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and finally by DNV GL in December. Verifavia is the process of being approved by BV and can also handle ClassNK ships.

EMSA Guidelines 


EMSA- European Maritime Safety Agency, which provides technical assistance and support to the European Commission and Member States in the development and implementation of EU legislation on maritime safety, pollution by ships and maritime security, updated its guidelines on Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) and Inspection of ships inspections of ships by the port States in accordance with Regulation (EU) 1257/2013 on ship recycling.
