Verifavia approves DFDS’s first EU MRV plan

         

Denmark-based DFDS recently announced that it has appointed Verifavia Shipping to conduct the first step of the verification process for its EU MRV plan, under the EU MRV Regulation. The “Ark Germania” was the first DFDS ship to have its monitoring plan fully approved.

The MRV process (monitoring, reporting and verification) for DFDS is handled via a cloud-based system developed by Novoprof, which DFDS is the first to use and has also helped develop.

Veson Nautical's Veslink Voyage Reporting system certified for EU MRV use by Verifavia

   

Veson Nautical, the leading provider of commercial maritime software and services, recently announced that Verifavia, the world’s leading emissions verification company for the transport sector (aviation and shipping), officially certified its Veslink Voyage Reporting system as a solution for the European Union’s (EU) upcoming Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) regulation.

Verifavia Shipping, a fully-accredited global EU MRV Verifier by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) and the French Accreditation Body (COFRAC), certified that the system complied with ISO standard 25051 on software engineering and 17065 on product certification.
 

Marorka receives EU MRV certification from Verifavia Shipping

          

Marorka recently announced that it had received an MRV certification from Verifavia for the Marorka Onboard maritime energy management and operational performance system. The certification issued by Verifavia recognises that data collected by Marorka Onboard fulfils the requirements of the European Union’s MRV (Monitoring, Report, Verification) regulation, which entered into force in 2015.

Verifavia Shipping participate in EU MRV technical meeting in Dubai 

               

Verifavia Shipping organised a technical meeting on the EU MRV regulation in partnership with IMarEST's  UAE branch, Verifavia Shipping from France sponsored a technical meeting on the EU MRV regulation. The event was extremely successfull with more than 80 delegates from the Middle East & Indian subcontinent maritime fraternity in attendance.

Mr. Yuvraj Thakur, EU MRV Auditor/Commercial Head APAC at Verifavia Shipping gave the keynote presentation in which he urged ship owners and operators to act urgently to ensure timely compliance with the regulation’s first regulatory deadline on 31st August 2017. 

Other speakers at the technical meetings included Nikeel Idnani, Honorary Secretary of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST), Mr. Ganesh Lingaratnam (Sales Manager Shipping, StormGeo – AWT) and Aaron Holton (Founder & CEO of Tres Technology Solutions).
